Software Engineer

Our mobile-friendly, web-based applications are designed to be easy to use, increase efficiency, increase transparency, and improve workflow for our bank clients. We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our growing Development team and build-out our next generation of software solutions to expand and enhance our offerings. Must have knowledge and experience in all stages of the software development life cycle.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop applications for financial institutions that operate in a highly regulated and security sensitive environment
- Develop back-end solutions in the Ubuntu LAMP stack environment using PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML
- Configure, maintain, and secure Ubuntu Linux and Apache environments
- Maintain code integrity and organization
- Utilize AWS for production application, database and document environments
- Work with Product Management team members to understand business requirements, and then deliver solutions based on those requirements
- Provide testing, maintenance, documentation and troubleshooting assistance for the Customer Success team

- Ability to quickly learn and understand existing applications to make enhancements and provide support
- Familiar with iterative software development life cycles and methodologies
- Thorough understanding of user experience and product strategy
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines on an ongoing basis
- Flexible, adaptable, and able to work in a high-pressure environment

Experience
- 5+ years experience with Linux Ubuntu, full LAMP stack development; with at least 4 years in PHPOOP and 2 years Procedural
- 5+ years experience with MySQL
- 3+ years experience with JavaScript, HTML
- 2+ years experience with AWS Configuration and Management
- Experienced using SVN and Git
- PHP IDE tools exposure/experience a plus (JetBrains PHPStorm preferred), as well as NotePad++
- PHP TDD development experience strongly preferred
- Experience with securing Linux servers from unwanted intrusions a plus
